To perform REMOTE ACCESS from a LOCAL COMPUTER to a REMOTE COMPUTER. You need the following :-
- TWO COMPUTERS(Recommended Pentium II/III/IV PCs)
- MINIMUM 128MB OR 512MB RAMS
- SERIAL PORTS
- TELEPHONE LINE
- 2 MODEM
- SOFTWARE
The purposes of using a REMOTE ACCESS TERMINAL is to enable END-USER to take control of a remote computer to perform certain jobs like :-
- FILE TRANSFER
- DOWNLOADING
where a user do not have to be physically present at the remote site. He can perform this job at the office or at home.
